Colby Cosh on tax-exempt institutions, while at the same time making fun of Godless (secular) churches and the illogic that denies individuals from claiming such a tax status.

The William S. Burroughs quote at the top, is worth highlighting:

Lunatics are dangerous to themselves and others ... instead of being tax-free, churches should be taxed double.

Fun quotes aside, the article reminds me of a Married with Children episode. In it, Al attempts to get No-Ma'am, a pitiful organization of men pretending to take control of their homes - and lives - back, tax exempt status. It was a hilarious take on just who can claim tax-exemption and under what pretense, strongly paralleling this article.
